Macwhirter driving forward

Iain Macwhirter won the election to become Rector of Edinburgh University with 69% of the 7004 votes cast. Well done that chap! Some strange ideas, but he is a journalist, and they're all very strange, so we can forgive him.

Macwhirter = Unionist propaganda. Praise? What's next? Dropping the referendum? Or is it Wackenhut to patrol our forests?

Mind you, Mr. Sutherland still needs another £50 Millions. Still better get those summary warrants out...

Hmmm....

I'll congratulate someone who I think has done well without checking on their political leanings, thank you. Having said that, the idea that Iain Macwhirter is a unionist propagandist is laughable - he's a journalist and commentator doing his job. Like most journalists he gets accused of being a unionist by unthinking nationalists, accused of being a nationalist by unthinking unionists, accused of being right wing by unthinking left wingers, accused of being left wing by unthinking right wingers - and none of them ever addresses the arguments made.

Try reading some of what is written instead of jumping halfway to a conclusion before landing on your nose:
