Better question still looking for an answer to is - Is there a party which performed relatively worse between elections as the Socialist Labour Party in 2005 General Election and at the By Election in 2009?
In 2005 they got 4,036 votes In 2009 they got 47 votes
Or a 98.8% drop in their vote (being generous and rounding in a nice way).
Don't know, but there ought to be a word for it. Someone wrote a poem musing on why there was a word (defenestration) for being thrown out of a window, but none to describe (for example) the fate of someone tied to the buffers of the 3:10 from Ealing.

No. Mainly as Silvio is not a head of state. He's the head of government. the Italian president is the head of state.
Yours, in pedantry
Pollster 2000
Possibly yes. Are you taking bets?

Well I almost threw something at Blair on my TV once. Does that count? War criminal!
P2000 - good point, pedantically made.
SR - I don't gamble in the normal run of things, but I reckon that it must be close to a one-off.
Anon - tsk tsk tsk...
Strathturret - nah, imagine how George Burely would feel!

"I almost threw something at Blair on my TV once."
That strikes me as being a fantastic own goal...or friendly fire or something...
A Cathedral...pah! I would be more concerned at being on the receiving end of a rapidly moving scale model of "the Gherkin"
