University funding - better under the SNP

I see that university funding is to rise by £40 million in Scotland - an increase under the SNP Scottish Government - while university funding south of the border is being slashed by £398 million under the Labour Government.

Mind how you go!

Can we really boast about spending going up in some areas while complaining about Westminster cuts when spending goes down?

Maybe we can but it just seems a bit unbalanced.

Yes. We have some eye-watering cuts to the Scottish budget made by the Treasury but investing in the future strength of the Scottish economy by ensuring that Higher Education continues to be adequately supported is a far-sighted strategy that is another demonstration of a government that is serious about making Scotland a better place.
