This is May the 18th Calum. You're 37 days too late for an April fool.
Oh Calum, you've dusted off your crystal ball I see. If he does then there will be interesting times ahead at Holyrood.
I read this and laughed, and then thought what if...Don't think he'll jump ship, but could get interesting if a political free-for-all kicked off. Kennedy to the SNP, Nicol Stephen to Labour, Danny Alexander to political wipeout...So, perhaps this will turn out to be the most prescient blog in history.Or perhaps not! ;)
You had me going there for moment. Still, I think he'd be one of the first Lib Dem high ups to cross the benches. It's clear his politics and that of the SNP are more closely in-line then his politics and the current Lib Dem stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the smarter Lib Dem contingent in Holyrood jumped to us or Labour before 2011.
My heart leaped for joy there. Why is there no Charles Kennedy fan club?
I'm still waiting for Malcolm Chisolm to cross the floor. The SNP are definitely much closer to Kennedy's LDs than Clegg's party. I think he is more likely to challenge for LD leadership in Scotland when Tavish goes.
We're now three weeks on and no sign of it yet ... good thing I'm not holding my breath ...
Looks as if he is going to join Labour first and then realise what a bunch of shysters they are and then join the SNP afterwards.
