We all have those days when we just want to protect something, don't we? I'm always cheering on those who are willing to go to the barricades to mount a sturdy defence of some animal less fortunate than themselves.
That's why, when I was reading the regular newsletter of Catherine Stihler MEP (Labour), I was delighted to find the headline
Confronting Hamster Hunting
Oh yes - you people may mock but this is a serious issue for the active hamster population in (as Ms Stihler has it) Hungry and Poland.
Aye, where do you go when you're Hungry in Budapest?
She's serious about defending them, you know -
